How long does it take to recover from Female Genital surgery?

Although you can walk around in your house from time to time, any drastic movements are prohibited. Week 2: The swelling noticeably goes down at this point. You can start to have normal food with semi-solid foods such as mashed vegetables, rice, pasta, etc. It is better to keep your diet lightweight and digestible at this point.

The doctor asks you to come for your follow-up appointment. Your stitches, if they are not the dissolvable kind are removed at this point. Again, smoking and alcohol must be avoided. You can go back to work by this time and resume most of your everyday routine activities. It is important to report to your doctor if something feels unusual to you.

Week 3: Drastic improvement in the swelling may be seen by the third week. You can resume your everyday activities such as going to work and driving if your doctor allows you.
